Professional Punters Diary - Garry Robinson

Welcome To Professional Punters Diary, where all of your Official Updates, News and practical punting tips are found...

Summer Edition- By Garry Robinson
Last Updated: Friday 29th February, 2008

Friday 29th February: The last of the Autumn Magazines left yesterday and our Autumn Edition will be available in all major Newsgenecies from today (Western Australia: Monday 3rd March).

My new book was finished yesterday also. The new C Plan lost the first race but won the second at a good price. With all the wet tracks that was it for the day.

click here to order Garry Robinson's new book: 'Race Winning Strategies' and to take advantage our the
EARLY BIRD BONUS OFFER
, valid until 31st March, 2008.

The Premium Selection won and Powerplay scored with a $27 winner in the second qualifying race at Bathurst. This is the last day of the Summer Edition of the diary. To see the Autumn Diary commencing March 1st click the Punter Diary Link link on the main menu to the left.

Thursday 28th February: I admit I didn't make my profit goal for the C Plan today. A rare failure. The first race won but today I continued on only to see my next race selections go down in a close photo. The photo went my way yesterday, not today. Our Premium Selections had one win from three, the placings don't count.

Brenton and I now have $863 from our starting bank of just $250 seven weeks or so ago. Brenton's Quinella and Exacta Plan works and the basics of it are in the Magazine several issues ago. Back issues are always available, in fact we have a whole room full of past issues. Funny thing. When people see the magazine for the first time in a Newsagent they nearly alwasy call us up looking for past issues.

We desin the magazine as a product you can keep so you can build up your knowledge.

Just by the way. Brenton is using Canbet.com for his Quinella betting. The idea was we would get the 25% rebate for losing months. Well so far we can't claim because we haven't had any.

Wednesday 27th February: It took me two races to reach my profit goal for the C Plan today and both races ended up in photos. In the first race I was on both Selections and the photo went the worst way (but I still won), otherwise that would have been the IASBet (now SportsBet). You see we try to organise to get the same profit no matter which of our Selections wins but prices do change and so it is always better or worse. In the second betting race I got a bonus as the price of the winner had drifted.

Powerbet had a wonderful day in spite of landing only 23% winners. There was one $16 winner and Powerplay won at both venues.

One of the two Premium Selections won. We missed five good singles bets when Townsville was washed out yet again.

My NEW Book is selling extremely well so thanks to those early purchasers, so don't miss out on the limited EARLY BIRD OFFERS. The printers start work next Monday once we have got back the final proofs. HURRY click here to order yours today...

Tuesday 26th February: Today is Elizabeth's TAFE day so she misses out on loading the envelopes with thousands of Magazines.

Yesterday was a winning day unless you were using Powerbet, well you can't win all the time. The Premium Selections won and he Bravo was placed at $6.60.

Readers can purhase my new book 'Race Wining Strategies' from today, just click here. The book is being posted in three weeks and there is a bonus offer for earlybird sales. It concentrates heavily on the C Plan and the latest strategies I am using. Yesterday my profit was in very early.

One thing I suggest. I bet yankees and so on with IASBet (now SportsBet) and yesterday had trouble with the website getting the multiples to work. Silly me. In future I will just ring them because I missed out getting on. All three selections won, the two specials for the win and the Bravo for the place. IASBet (now SportsBet) is the only site I know whiich will allow mixed multiples. Mostly the others will only allow win bets. The decision to persist with the Internet (it was slow because of our Email Newsletters going out) cost me at least $4,000+.

We really need to finalise our Seminar Bookings, so please don't leave it until the last minute. It is less than three weeks away, click here.

Monday 25th February: Spent most of yesterday moving my Dad's stuff into his new room. fair dinkum, it's like a five star hotel. Pity you have to be too old to look after yourself to get in there. I got back so late yesterday I only had time for one C Plan bet but it was an easy collect so I can't complain. I was also surprised to hear Steel Giant win on the way home. I wasn't surprised it won but I was surprised it paid so well and was actually $4.00 second favourite. It was a Winform Gold and a Best Bet too from memory.

I'm putting the final touches to my book this week and then off to the printers for proofs and it should be going out straight after the official launch at Crown Casino on March 18th. You can order it from tomorrow in the Winform Bookshop or by phone and there is a special early bird offer which is detailed in the new magazine which gets posted tomorrow and is in Newsagents by Friday (except WA which is Monday the 3rd.)

I expect an upgrade at Seymour today but I have to admit, it is not our best venue for winners (now that should guarantee a result).

Saturday 23rd Ferbruary: Blue Diamond Stakes day but for us it is D Day with a new record for the most Grandslam losses in a row if we don't have early collects. The Grandslam was in profit easily until last Saturday when a rash of seconds ruined our good start to the year.

I placed a parlay bet yesterday and lost when only two of my legs were successful. You can't win all the time. I'll try again today. We do look to have some interesting bets. The Bravo was unlucky yesterday with our first selection going down in a photo at $29.30.

Friday 22nd February: Yesterday was the day I chose to bet and record my progress for the plans I am using in the new book which goes on sale next week. Nearly everything is done and we will go to print in time for the official launch at Crown Casino on March the 17th. Those readers who purchase the book should receive their copies sometime that week. The order form is in the new HRA magazine which goes out next week.

The good news is that every one of the strategies I used yesterday were winning ones. Powerplay made a good profit in the very first race, Powerbet made nearly $200 and the C Plan was right on song. The Winform singles failed to find a winner but most of them placed but because I was so busy with the workouts for the new book I failed to take advantage. There is only so much you can do in a day!

Tomorrow looks like a good day. Sunday I am moving my Dad into his new Hostel now that Mum's passed away so maybe no report until late. I also have to collect the ashes would you believe. Dad doesn't want them but they want to charge $170 if they don't get picked up. It doesn't matter what field of endeavour you are in you still have to deal with family matters.

Good luck for the weekend and I have won with the C Plan again today, lucky actually as I missed the first race which was a loser.

Thursday 21st February: I had just three C Plan bets yesterday and won two of them. There were obviously more bets to be had but honestly, I just did not have time to even look and it's no good looking after the event. A good case in point was a Murray Bridge race (forget which one) that I was looking at whilst on the phone to one of our writers. The key to betting in that race was that the favourite had to be $4.00 or less and it was $4.60 into $4.20 and still that price with seconds to go. When it was too late to get on the price moved to $3.80 and looking back you wouild have expected that to be a betting race. In real time it was not and of course the opposite applies.

You really need to establish which selections you will be on minutes before the race so you have time to get the best price. If the price moves after that then it is a case of swings and roundabouts.

I did notice yesterday, an excellent betting race as defined in Make Racing Pay. The winner was as high as $65 and 3rd rated. At the time of the event I was on my way home but I hope some of you were on it.

Wednesday 20th February: I had an actual day off yesterday and didn't even look at them until I got home after watching a very interesting movie: 'No Country For Old Men'. I had previoulsy taken Ros to the dentist to re-check her root canal which cost $990. She was still experiencing some pain but obviously the nerve was no longer there. It was a 'phantom' pain and she just needed to be reassured that it was all O.K. so I hope she is right now.

I still suffer from 'phantom' pain, we all do when we remember how we have been stung by a horse that looks good on paper but proves to be a let down. 'Aranayam' is the most recent of those horses I think and I sent another $100 west on it at Camperdown. It looked good in the run too, for about 600 metres.

Don't forget. The Grandslam daily is just an experiment but it's there for Ratings and Grandslam subscribers if you wish to look.

Weekend Sportsbets start up from 4:00 p.m. Friday, so if your not already subscribed for the new season, please click here to order your subscription now. I had two bets at the weekend for two wins.

Tuesday 19th February: A disappointing day yesterday for our official Winform Selections, but not all was lost with a couple of good winners listed under our experimental Grandslam Selections: 'Volcanic Hero' $4.90 at Wellington, 'Balham' $5.40 and 'Main Game' $4.10 at Cessnock.

Please, if you are thinking about attending Winform's Melbourne Seminars now is the time to book as time is starting to run out and positions are starting to fill. Monday 18th February
: As an experiment this week we are putting a Grandslam style sheet up each day this week. It will be there by 11 a.m with a minimum of ten races to look at.

After the disappointment of Saturday, yesterday was brilliant with the Winform Gold having two wins from three, one at $5.50 and the Single Selections did well and some of the place dividends were astonishing. A $2.60 place dividend for a $4.50 runner is almost unheard of.

I personally dropped a bucketload on Saturday after a poor week (I was away and missed the $18 winner Tuesday) but yesterday's results got all of my money back and a tidy profit for the week. I was not betting level stakes. I admit it, my win yesterday mostly came through parlays at IASBet (now SportsBet) (sorry guys).

Poweplay had a good day again. The C Plan had five winners from nine. In some races I was unable to get a market and son there may well have been more bets if that was the case.

Trevor Johns' Book has been dynamite lately witha $61 and a $37 winner in the last two days, and that was only from the Free stuff! Sensational.

Sunday 17th February: A very bad day for Grandslam, probably the worst we have had but Powerplay was very good and the Top Two included a $25 and $31 winner and there was an excellent Quinella $175 and Exacta $273 which I scored with Brenton Burford. The method was revealed in one of his articles in Horse Racing Australia Magazine and the tiny bank we established together on Canbet.com.au has nearly trebled in six weeks. You see we always test our methids with real money. It is the only true test. The same applies with the C Plan.

I have no results for yesterday because I didn't bet any yesterday but I can tell you both longshot winners in Ascot were C Plan races.

It looks like two Powerplay venues today and the Singles will have a few bets at Port Lincoln.

Saturday 16th February: A bit of a glich today with the Grandslam . This pathetic practice of overwatering the tracks makes it bloody impossible for the punter. Yesterday we assumed a track upgrade at Pakenham but didn't get it today we did but it makes it necessary for us to do double the work and an error was made which I have just corrected.

The selections from the Best Horse Racing Australia Systems have staretd O.K. today with three winnesr from the six selections to date so far. The first Winform Gold won and Powerplay is going O.k.

Friday 15th February: Don't forget about our Seminars hitting Melbourne in March!
The Weekend Feature Race has been put up and there is another abandoned meeting today, Townsville.
Pakenham is given as Dead but will almost certainly upgrade early.

Thursday 14th February: Well it's Valentines Day today and how materialistic has it become? Back to racing, Issue 9: Autumn 2008 of Horse Racing Australia Magazine will be available Australia wide in all leading Newsagencies by Monday the 3rd of March, 2008. Subscribers will receive theirs a little earlier than the Newsagents and may very well agree that Issue: 9 is one of our best and most informative editions so far.

Wednesday 13th February: A $18 winner for the singles yesterday and only two of them ran before the meeting at Grafton was abandoned. It also made a very profitable day for Powerplay.

The C Plans had 5 wins from eleven eligible races but a run of four from the first five would have been more than sufficient to make our profit goal for the day.

Tuesday 12th February: A disappointing day for the C Plan yesterday with a loss of 6 Units. We do hope you took our advice yesterday and backed the winner of the Hobart Cup. Subscribers might have noticed too that we had the Cup Trifecta of $440 in correct order!

Did you see last magazine the cartoon with Craig Williams marrying Miss Finland ? News has come through this week they have been divorced!!!

The Power is on, it is business as usual.

Monday 11th February: As announced in this weeks E-newsletter we have a new canbet.com.au deal for you this week. Join and deposit and bet just $50 and get $100 worth of free bets to use in the next 30 days. In addition to this there are ongoing canbet bonuses including a rebate of up to 25% if you lose in any month. Details are on their website. There is a special promotion code HRA100 to be entered when you join.

Today is Hobart Cup Day and the favourite Offenbach is well placed on what we expect will be a Good track with a bit of cushion. Conquering is the best of the locals. The office may open late tomorrow as we are getting a power upgrade but work starts at 6 a.m.

Sunday 10th February: How does 28 winning races out of 48 sound? That's todays result for the C Plan and don't I wish I was betting it today? Yesterday started with a run of six wins from seven races and even though I missed the first two of those wins I was in front in no time. You don't make a fortune from any one race but yesterday, for example, there was a $42 winner in the mix. Working with a moderate bank I would expect winnings of $500 -$1000 a week is easily achievable.

My one reservation about revealing my findings is that I may kill sales of my own Winform Ratings. But I don't think so. Not when we can find a $31 top rated winner like we did today.

I'm collating information as it happens so I can provide clear examples of what action to take and when to bet and when not to bet.

One "system" I have uncovered had just a minimal number of qualifying selections each day but it just continues to win. You simply look at the market a few minutes before the jump and you know whether or not to bet it. I wil be revealing this strategy at the Melbourne Seminar.

Another plan had eight betting races today for six winners today. There were two winners from four bets out of The Key To Winning Consistently book today and I know that David Bendeich is working towards a second edition later this year.

On Tuesday we are getting a power upgrade at the office so if the phone is unanswered early you know why. We expect the work to be completed by 10 a.m.

Saturday 9th February: I spent most of yesterday afternoon working the C Plan. After four losing races first up the trend changed and after another half dozen races I was well in front. I didn't stay for the night races at Moonee Valley.

Winform Gold had two winners yesterday, the first a mere $1.10, the other a more respectable $3.60 and the third of the trio missed in a photo and a subsequent protest was unsuccessful.

Kembla has been abandoned today and I question the decision to race at Rosehill which is starting on a heavy 10 with more rain expected. Hobart is on today witth tha Tasmanian Derby the second biggest race in Australia today.

The Daily Double at Caulfield today is races 6 and 8 with a 8.5% takeout it is worth exploiting. Unitab have a jacpot First Four on Caulfield Race 7. Our information from the track is that Caulfield is a Good 3 today

Friday 8th February: Yesterday Garry had a busy day. But between 3pm and 5pm he tried out the C Plan with two of his three horses winning with a profit of $200+. Garry's C Plan will be revealed in detail at the Melbourne Seminar on the Monday evening in March. Today is another busy day with a lot of Race Meetings.

Thursday 7th February: Another blitz day yesterday for the C Plan and for the first time I included the amended C Plan version three which uses Ratings other than Winform. I only had time to be in three races and all three were successful. For my $100 per race stake I made $399.10 at IASBet (now SportsBet) even though I made a mistake and backed one horse at super price which was a late firmer. I only made $30 on this race instead of an expected $100 but then I made up for it in the next race when I declined a fixed price of $3.70 and the super price was $4.71. You could resolve this dilemma by taking half at fixed and half at super price which would smooth out the bumps by averaging.

When I am betting seriously I would have taken a fixed price on course with Starting Price guarantee which fixes the price but pays out more if the price ends up longer at the finish of the betting.

The next three Saturdays Tabcorp is offering 8.5% commission on the Daily Double in Sydney and Melbourne. It is an excellent opportunity for us to benefit in those races. Full details are in the Winform News page. click here

Wednesday 6th February: Sunday there were seven winners from eleven races for the C Plan, Monday three from four and yesterday three from five. Form like this ceratinly justifies creating a brand new book as we have had many requests for more information. The orignal C Plan appeared in Racing Pays More which was released in 2004. The three months results published in that book showed a 50%+ strike rate and it is obvious that nothing has changed. There have been some additions to the C Plan which have increased the amount of action and the new book which will be released on March 17th at Crown Casino in Melbourne (Click here to book your place at the Melbourne Seminar) will include a lot of new information.

All of the strategies rely on current race information so can be used successfully by punters on course or at home with their computers. Follow the strategies during the week or at weekends for those who still do the 9-5 grind. Follow the strategy until you make a profit or follow it on every opportunity. It is a strategy that works either way.

Tuesday 5th February: Only one bet yesterday for Bravo that won at a nice $5.10. Today Cessnock racing has been transferred to a wet Newcastle track. This has made Powerplay no longer eligible for racing today.

Don't forget about the all new Mr. Rugby Service in association with Punting Ace is now available. As the NRL Season draws closer, please click here to get in early to receive your Winform Bonus bet.

Monday 4th February: Nothing to report from yesterday although both Powerplay venues found winners neither made a profit. There were a small number of selections but none actually won continuing that run of placings from Saturday.

Kempsey is washed out today so just one meeting. The C Plan had another great day Sunday with 60% winners.

The weekly Winform Newsletter is out today later and if you are not receiving it but would like to click here.

Trevor Johns free plans from his book made another impressive profit for January at an average dividend of better than $7. Purchse of his book entitles you to a half price ticket to the Monday evening Seminar in Melbourne next month.

Sunday 3rd February: The 31st of January provided a fantastic all up opportunity with all four Premium Selections winning. Not so yesterday but this was more than made up for with eleven winners from 19 C Plan races and another positive Grand Slam performance with 'Legend Express' at $14.10, a highlight. Powerbet had a solid percenatge of winners and Powerplay had winners at every venue. There are two Powerplay venues today.

The One Day Cricket starts today and the NRL Season is only weeks away. It's time to think about Sports Betting and we have a new offer coming up with Canbet.com so stay in touch for that.

We have limited seats left for the Melbourne Seminar if you wished to attend both sessions. The Monday evening session will include the C Plan in detail as we have had many enquiries. It will coincide with the release of Garry Robinson's first new book in five years.

Friday 1st February: Well 2008 feels like its off to a flying start, I can't believe its February all ready! Again yesterday we had success with our Best Bet Selection. The Canterbury night selection won at $2.90. Also another winning day for Premium Subscribers yesterday with four out of four selections winning.

Yesterday afternoon all Members of Winform would have received infomation on the new Mr. Rugby Service in association with Punting Ace. This Service is an additional Sports Service to Winform, giving you more detailed selections for both Rugby League and Rugby Union (including representative games). It starts this weekend, so get in early to get your exclusive Winfom bonus bet. click here for more details.

We still have spaces for the Winform Melbourne Seminar coming up in March this year, so to book, please click here or phone our office direct on: (02) 4950 1747.

The Weekend Feature Race is now available online to subscribers. Have a great day...

Thursday 31st January: Today is off course the last day to get in for the Over The Odds Offer and the Winform Betting Pool 2008 Offer as mentioned in yesterday's email broadcasts.

To participate in the Over The Odds Offer you will need to click here and join today to take advantage of the deposit & Free bet bonus (conditions apply).

Yesterday our Best Bet Selection was a winning one, with Hawkesbuy Race 5 'Montana Hilton' coming home at $3.70. Also our Premium Subscribers would have been happy with our Winform Winner Selections yesterday getting three wins from four selections.

We also have a new offer this weekend for all of our keen 'footy' lovers, click here for more information on our exclusive offer for Winform Members for the ALL NEW 'Mr. Rugby'

Wednesday 30th January: The Over The Odds special offer for Winform Members closes tomorrow. If you've registered with us you will get an email later today with full details. It is a very generous and exclusive offer.

Tomorrow Ros and I are celebrating our Wedding Anniversary with a trip to the Sydney Opera House to see Burt Bacarach and the Sydney Symphony Orchestra. See! I can switch off Racing for a day.

In preparation for the Melbourne Seminar I have been updating the latest information of favourites and you would be interested to know that both strike rates and dividends have gone up slightly over the past four years. In fact favourites that are top rated Winform Selections at certain distances are actually profitable on level stakes with a strike rate of up to 36%

I am suprised by how many times the TAB actually pays better than the SP. This happens quite a lot on country tracks and sometimes your best bet is on say Over The Odds or IASBet (now SportsBet) at TAB + a few cents.

29th January: As January draws to a close I may well have finished my sailing days. I took another big dump on Sunday but the problem was that I was so exhausted bringing the boat back up I couldn't raise the strength to get back on board. This time I was given a lift by a guy on a jet ski who told me he had had a similar problem and had just sold his Laser. I might have to do the same, either that or get a lot fitter.

Anyhow, the punting was successful and the C Plan, well it just got better and yesterday was another winning day with five from nine. It has been so successful but a strategy I have neglected until recently. My revised C Plan will be revealed in detail at the Melbourne Seminar on the Monday evening in March.

Powerplay had a good day yesterday. $29 winners are always a big help.

We are frantically getting the magazine together so are flat out this week but dosn't worry we always have time to take your order or you can do so through the Bookshop on the menu to the left.

Monday January 28th: Nothing sensational to report yesterday. The Best Bet won and there were a couple of Single winners but no longshots of note. Today's races are listed under both Saturday and Monday and there will be a Western Australia update by 11 a.m. Susannah is doing the ratings today.

Don't forget the Over The Odds special offer which ends Thursday. A 50% bonus is hard to come by so take it while it is there.

Sunday January 27th: Mid yesterday afternoon the C Plan had eight winners from nine races. It ended up 11 from 19. I missed being able to do it as I had to take Ros to the dentist for one of those dreadful root canals. It cost $945. I reckon I could have made that just on the C Plan had I stayed home.

Two wins and two places, one by a short head for Winform Gold. Grandslam had another great day and Kerry who was on her first day was delighted. 'Bundle Of Gold' was bet as much as $7.50, staretd at $6 with bookmakers but the name was so popular it paid only $4 on the TABs. A clear case for shopping around for the best price. I believe IASBet (now SportsBet) was top of the pops.

Just by the way. Kerry tells me that until she subscribed to Grandslam for 12 months at $495 (Kerry gets the SMS service as well) , she had been paying $1,000 per month for a service that gave her two selections per day which over the past two months had just 30% wins at average approx. $2.

The Winform Singles had two from six and the main thing holding us back is the prices. In December we had a good strike rate and some great prices. In January the strike rate has been abysmal and the prices have been average at best.

There are many race meetings today but Powerplay users get a day off. To give you an idea how our luck is going, there were plenty of winners yesterday but the majority were under the required odds.

Saturday 26th January: Yesterday was one of those days and anything that could go wrong did go wrong. The reliable C plan had 1 winner from 8 races but maintained a 50%+ strike rate for the past week.

The Singles had just 1 winner (which survived a vigorous protest) from 14 selections (there was a scratching) and hardly any were placed. The Winform Gold ran 3rd. One Powerplay venue made its money easily but the others failed to produce. Winners were found but not at the right odds. It's been tough.

Allan made a ton of cash (about $13,000 this month) up till last weekend with Powerplay using his own staking and fiddling with some selections. He missed the crash as he has been away bu he also missed the good results earlier this week.

Today is a very busy day with Racing back to it's normal Saturday schedule. Saturday ratings subscribers will be able to see Mondays public holiday races under Saturday from 9.30 Monday.

Friday 25th January: I've put this together late Thursday. Powerplay had a small loss today at Wyong with just two winners. Today has a large number of meetings so it will be a busy day but that could be fun I hope.

The C Plan had three eligible races today for three wins which is great. I only bet small on these, but made over $200.

At our Staff Conference yesterday (we have them everyday at present) we realised that everybody tries to find favourites that are genuine favourites so that we can win at the average price of $2.80. In my book on favourites we found that you must lose over 12% betting favourites. Second Favourites, on the other hand only lose about 8% so instead we should be looking at ways to bet second favourites which have a better than average chance of winning. Something for everyone to think about.

I had a good winning day with just two Single Selection winners at $5.40 and $5.50. Two from eight is plenty at those prices. I will be letting everyone know about the new SMS singles service next week.

Thursday 24th January: Two from four for the C Plan yesterday and another one of the plans that I will release at the Melbourne Seminar has had one win fron one yesterday. The singles were zero from two althought the Best Bet won. Winform Gold had two bets for one place.

Liz and Susannah are learning quickly, yesterday they ran Market Forces and learned a lot about which price to take and when (they missed a few) and also how you can miss out through computer malfunction, raced delays and so on. Basically once things didn't go to plan they were stuck but luckily they weren't using real money.

I remember when Leanne (who was here some years ago) started she ran Money Factory for us but nobody told her too much. We were winning regularly and then one day I asked how it was going and she said: ' we're a bit behind today?'. How much I said and '$17,000' was the answer. You see nobody had told her when to stop and because the money was there she just kept betting. It would have come good but we couldn't take the risk. To Leanne at the time they were just numbers. I can understand how clients could get it wrong and it is why they should regularly consult.

One up one down for Powerplay yesterday and just one venue today.

Wednesday 23rd January: Hello everyone, its Prue here, fresh back from what was the start of the Tamworth Country Music Festival. This year's experience at Tamworth had a very different twist. Last year we watched donkey races, this year it was goat and 'Wife' Races. Yes that's right, wife races. A small group of couples, with all the women carrying their husbands to the finish line (what a crack up).

Back to racing that is a little more familar. The C Plan on Monday had no bets and unfortunately yesterday we had two bets for two losers. To a more positive note, it won't be too long until the Autumn Edition of Horse Racing Australia Magazine 2008, will hit the shelves, so if you are not already subscribed, click here to get yours today!

Ah, and don't forget about the all new Seminars that will be hitting Melbourne this March, click here to book

Tuesday 22nd January: Powerplay successful at both venues yesterday. Purchasers of Racing Pays More will recieve the additions to the C plan in due course. Places are filling up for the Melbourne seminar in March, Tuesday only has 8 position left, so if you are thinking of attending but haven't secured your seat be sure to get in quick.

Monday 21st January: The C Plan from Racing Pays More continues to roll in the winners. There is an amendemnet which will be revealed at the Seminar in March which has the effect of doubling the number of eligible races. On Saturday there were sixteen races for fourteen winners. And if you think that was a fluke what about Sunday seven winners from ten races.

There was a Bravo winner yesterday but no return from the Best Bet or the two Singles but there were some changes to track conditions which we were not aware of.

Sunday 20st January: It's late Saturday and we have dropped three out of five Powerplay venues today. Sunday has just one meeting. Grand Slam has three wins from eight for another profit. Winform Gold has two placings and one race to go. The Winform Singles have missed so far , our Feature Race selection ran 2nd but our Best Bet won at a short price $1.70, but that is better than losing.

We gave out the Trifecta in the last at the Gold Coast and it paid $6900 and I wish I was on it but with the upgraded track the winner dropped to seventh. It works the other way too and I'm still waiting. In the First four at Flemington race six I had five of the first six to finish but Count To Zero was not in my calculations.

Powerbet looked O.K. today.

Saturday 19th January: Yesterday was another winning day for Powerbet and our single selections had two winners from four and our Best Bet won at $4.00.

There have been a couple of teething problems with Over The Odds as the promotional code is not being accepted by their website. Don't worry, just advise us of your account number and we have been making sure each Member gets their bonuses.

On the other hand we have had many queries. Yes they accept sports bets but all qualifying bets and free bets are to be racing bets. It is a Racing promotion. Once the qualifying conditions are met any bets can be placed as normal.

Friday January 18th: Even Canterbury produced two long shot winners last night in a spectacularly successful day. Powerplay and Powerbet were successful but our one Winform Gold lost and the two Single Selections lost. I had three sets of trixie bets, one of which was successful for a $1300 PROFIT. The last leg of one those those trixies was worth $15,000 to me but when I looked at the form I could not isolate the dangers to lay off. As it happened our third rated horse in Ascot Race 7 saluted desoite having missed the place at its only three runs at Ascot previously.

The C plan (Racing Pays More) had a rare bad day with just one win from six. As the C plan is based on where the favourite is in our ratings it is obvious you cant have a good day when the longshots are winning. It's usually one or the other.

Thursday January 17th: Another bad day for the bookmakers today with Powerplay finding three longshot winners at the three eligible venues. On the dark side, Tegan announced today that she has been offered an excellent opportunity to extend her career in admin/accounts (she has been studying accountancy for about three years) and will leave at the end of the month. She will be missed by myself and Prue and certainly by the many hundreds of our members who have heard her speak at our seminars in Melbourne and Perth.

Susannah York on the other hand is currently in admin and wants to be a journalist and has previously had her articles on the NRL published. Consequently Susannah will commence Monday in the dual role of admin and journalist.

Wednesday 16th January: Lots of queries about the sensational over the odds offer. Short answer to everyone is that the restrictions on their internet site do not apply to our special Winform Offer. It is a genuine offer for a limited time to help build their client base quickly, call it advertising if you will.

One of our Members is using OTO exclusively for his Money Factory and he figures and rightly, that if he splits his funds into three banks he can actually afford to lose one with the Free bets. Not that he has to lose one but it can happen. A 50% advantage is hard to sneeze at. A similar strategy could be used with Powerbet and Powerplay.

Yesterday Powerplay just squeezed a tiny profit at the one venue that qualified. Powerbet had a good day using both venues. We had two Best Bets for two winners.

I also researched an additional method to add to the C Plan from Racing Pays More and will present it at the Melbourne Seminar in March (click here to book for seminar). 50% winners or more is a snack!

Tuesday 15th January: Our Best Bet today is Echucha Race 6. I am placing my bet with IASBet (now SportsBet) because if it runs second to a horse in an odd numbered gate I will get a refund of up to $300. I am therefore having $300 on it as I will get a clear advantage as our Bets Bets win 40% of race snad finish 1st or 2nd 60% of the time. The promotional code to enter in the my account section is SCS150108 and they have a similar bonus EVERY day.

Yesterday was a great day for Powerbet users. Just ask Andrew!

Monday 14th January: I recovered most of Saturdays losses with a successful double on our Premium Selections. Powerplay had two winning meetings from the three and the thought occurred to me about how we could make profit from the Powerplay selections on the Quaddie, Doubles and Trebles or allups and parlays. More on that later.

I was in the wars again yesterday when I went out in a 10 knot Nor Easter which turned into a 30 knot buster. After a capsize which occurred after I leaned out to straighten out the ropes (sheets) i must have managed to dislodge the rope that holds the rudder down but failed to notice.

I headed home in waves that reached 1.5 metres and with a loss of control took a massive dump. This caused the centreboard to float away and it took some time to recover it and recentre it before I could right the boat. By this time several other boats had headed over to make sure I was safe. Eventually I got the boat over to the nearest shore while Shayne Connell took his boat home and then drove 30 ks' to the other side of the lake with his rudder.

With the wind at my back it took only 10 minutes to reach the other side of the lake, fair dinkum it was surf's up all the way.

Packing up and checking my betting accounts and seeing that $3k+ result was a good end to the day.

If you're on our Newsletter list we are sending out today details of our special offer from Overtheodds, a new corporate bookmaker. The deal is to good to mention publicly. To get onto our Newslelter list click here.

Sunday January 13th: Some nice results for Powerbet yesterday and anyone betting the Premium and singles yesterday using Money Factory did well. Powerplay had a busy day with three winning meetings and two losing for a nett loss. Morphettville has lost consistently for a month.

The jackpot First Four eluded me when Umaprince failed to hold a 3 length lead leaving me with 2nd 3rd and 4th. I had the winner but only to be placed. The Dividend was a healthy $16,600 so well worth going for. I also had the first three legs of the Quaddie and two legs of the Treble and several win bets ran 2nd. Overall a loss of $4,000 for me personally. It's a bit different to the $7,000 win of two weeks ago.

I haven't actually had a losing year since the early 90's and January either wins or loses a lot. I expect to win a lot this year and if you don't bet with that attitude you are in trouble already. You might get upset by a bad day or a run of bad days but in a number of case studies which are to be published in the next edition of the magazine, it was perfectly normal to have long runs of losing and winning days.

Today there are three meetings I can get excited about as they always produce results.

Saturday January 12th: There is an expected $400,000 pool jackpot First Four on Brisbane Race 8 via Unitab today. I won the last jackpot pool two weeks ago and using Winform Ratings I think I can knock this one off too. At least I will have a go.

Yesterday both Powerplay venues were winners although a late scratching cost us over half the price of our 20/1 winner. Still, a profit is a profit. Today we could use a little better luck than last week when we lost on protest although our Members who bet with IASBet (now SportsBet) got paid regardless.

Friday January 11th: Yesterday was a terrible day for the Winform Selections, with no winners, only 2 thirds and with only one Bravo selections running third today isnt much better. Lets hope the weekend doesnt follow suit. We have confirmed all the details for the Melbourne Seminars to be run in March and all the details are now on our bookshop for all to view. Remember to get in quick as there are only 10 seats left for the Tuesday class.

Thursday January 10th: Powerplay had two good wins but a loss at the other venue with just one winner. At Ascot a good winner was found and the final two races were both longshot winners. The other winning venue scored early and then the very next race was a $14+ winner.

The new Winform Singles had six bets for two winners and a 63% profit on the day. Bravo was due for a win and had two bets for two winners and the solitary Winform Gold won. $1.30 in the three horse race was a gift as it won by ten lengths.

Wednesday Janury 9th: Powerplay lasted just one race today when our profit was made by Race 2. Many more race meeting are on today so lots of action.

The Autumn Edition of Horse Racing Australia Magazine is shaping up as a must have with some exciting articles coming in from our contributors. Craig Boots includes his pre season review of the AFL and NRL and Damian Carroll presents a comprehensive review of his year with Market Forces. That issue is seven weeks away yet but is one to look forward to.

Tuesday January 8th: A good result for Powerplay yesterday when we had two horses in the photo for 1st and the $19 pop scored over the $5.50 horse. It was a welcome win. Only two race meetings again today with once again just one eligible for Powerplay but this venue rarely fails to produce a good priced winner or two.

Tegan is hard at work sorting out the facts on Ratings Based Handicaps. There is a forum item on Punting Ace on this at present and the truth is nobody knows all the facts. The different rating bands mean different things in different States we think. It is hard to sort out but there will be a comprehensive article in the Autumn Magazine. Punter do need to know and understand this if they want to do their own form. A similar situation applies in New Zealand and it is highly unlikely that they will be comparable with the ratings form here.

NEW DATES: Due to Formula One Grand Prix

Monday January 7th: Time is slipping by already and I have had seven losing days in a row. I hate to admit it but it happens. Many of the Winform strategies have been winning though. Betting all selections of all types last month actually made a nice 7.5% profit on turnover which was more than enough to cover the slight loss in November.

Only two meetings today and one of those is at Moruya and how solid the track plays is dependent on the tide. The track is built on sand and when the tide is in the sand is actually harder but today is a good track anyway. We are using Moruya for our Powerplay strategy today.

Sunday January 6th: Okay, the all up plan failed again yesterday but we got the Quaddie which was easy although it didn't pay much. I did recover with the Perth Daily Double and Toowoomba Treble multiple times but overall it was a losing day for me. The biggest shock was Takeover Target losing on protest. There were a lot of "protests" over this from the public and in on line forums.

Powerbet had a great day with the Top Two returning a level stakes profit of 15% and Powerbet turning this into 40% or more. Money Factory worked a treat on the single selections even though there were just two winners from eleven bets at $2.50 and $4.60.

There were no big winners with Powerplay and Adelaide was a graveyard.

Saturday January 5th: An interesting day today with another three Winform Gold selections, Grandslam is into it's first day of 2008 with a mix of good and worrying selections but you have to just back them for the average.

Brenton and I will try out his method on Quinellas and Exactas today as he progresses on his planned book. For December all of his strategies have made profits using Winform Ratings, the GTX program and price predictor (which I don't use).

For Powerplay there has been one meeting abandoned but still plenty of action for those who want a bet and there are some good but few Single Selections which have been going extremely well for the past month.

I'm backing up again on the all ups and trebles and parlays and I reckon I need a $20 thousand pay to catch up with little luck lately. It is just a matter of catching a few in a row and it will happen. Patience, patience, patience.,

Friday 4th January: Winform Gold had three bets today for a win and a second. The second rated horse in that race produced a seven length turnaround to get up and win. There was one Success Express selection and it won and Powerplay had a good day today witha $10+ winner helping.

We're expecting a good day tomorrow if the Queensalnd weather improves. There is a jackpot First Four on the Gold Coast tomorrow which could produce a good result for us. We think we will get the winner of The shortened Villers too.

Thursday January 3rd: Hi everyone, my names Liz and I'm the newest team member with the Winform team. Garry is currently busy doing the Powerplay seminar here at the office. Although I'm only new to the team, the Winform Ratings have performed excellently so far with a top four at Albury in the first race.

As for yesterdays results, Best Bets proved again to be successful with three winners out of four selections.

Premium subscribers may of noticed that the Winform Specials have disappeared. Due to poor performance we have decided to drop the specials until we can substitute them for a more quality service.

Wednesday January 2nd : I put a few bets on then spent some time with the family before coming back inside later to see how it was all going. Then I stayed and bet for several races including the Perth Cup where I lost all chance with a fall which took out most of my chances. Brenton Burford used his Quinella method to effect yesterday and together we scored three out of three at $20+ or better. Brenton is putting togeher some more thoughts for the Autumn Magazine but he wants to prove it again first.

It seemed to me that there were plenty of winners yesterday and Powerplay bet at three meetings with two successful after one or two races and one venue getting two winners but no big prices. My next Powerplay Seminar is at the offcie in Wallsend tomorrow 10 to 4 approx.

I played around with Betfair again yesterday and finally managed to snag a winner at a decent price but to be honest it was hardly worth the effort. I had to keep checking back every few seconds for some minutes to make sure I was on and the mere $60 to $70 bets were taken in lots of $10 and $20. On one selection I averaged $7.11 but by post time it was readily available on TAB and bookmakers at better than $7.50 and it lost anyway.

I see some good bets today with a large number of Best Bets which is unusual.

Tuesday January 1st : Another day another $100 dollars. I wish. Everything ran second yesterday except one Best Bet. Today I've flexed my arm on the Flemington Quaddie but have faint hope only. If this was a Saturday meeting several of the best chances would automatically be out because the strike rate is less than 15% and that includes some favourites. The problem is that there is little depth today.

There are small fields at Randwick but some good quality gallopers going around and the Perth Cup is on.

I'm keeping an eye on things and have just one bet, a Winform Gold at Ascot. The disappointment of the day is that there is no coverage of the Longford races in Tasmania. It is probably the best meeting (in numbers ) of the day with the biggest crowd.

Monday 31st December: Off to the physio today, maybe that will help. One good Best Bets winner yesterday. Powerplay was one up and one down. I thought we had it in the fifth at Canberra but 2nd and 3rd again.

I've always failed to be impressed by those punters, gamblers mainly, who live it up after a big win, simply because mostly their big win is just getting some of the money back they have lost continually. Well my win on Saturday was icing on the cake and I have spent $300 on a seafood feast for my family tonight. My daughter and son in law can't afford to go out as they have just moved into their new house and we know how expensive that can be. I now actually have over $17,000 more in my punting bank than I need so I will keep that for a rainy day.

I have had a winning year so that makes 19 out of the past 21 years in front. It has not been my best year and EI (Equine Influenza) had an effect. I also lost a lot on trialling new strategies before I found the key to more steady profits.

In the New Year I will be continuing to look for more new strategies and I have actually found one that makes money simply using the Pre-Post market. Strangely enough it is a system I published in Turf Monthly in the late eighties and I wish I had kept track of it. Back then you needed to be at the races to use it but now anyone with Internet access can use it. I'll trial it a bit more and then publish it and several other plans I have been working on.

A Happy and prosperous New Year to you all...

Sunday 30th December: I spent much of yesterday lying down in too much pain to concentrate on the races. Fortunately Tegan had placed all my regular bets and there were plenty of winners from the Single Selections, Winform Gold and the like. Best Bets had just one winner from three but at $3.90 that's a good profit.

UNITAB had a First Four jackpot on Moonee Valley Race 8 and I decided to have a go. In my haste to put the bet on I realised I prorbably spent too much to get it and when the favourite, our top rated Winform Selection had won, I expected a moderate dividend. I was wrong. It paid over $7,000.

Powerplay performed poorly yesterday even though at Ascot we selected all the winners but there were no longshots. There are two Powerplay venues today. We are certainly due for a longshot.

The selections from The Key To Winning Consistently did well too with five winners from ten. Can you believe we found one remaining copy when we moved premises four weeks ago. We tought we sold out long ago. That copy is for sale through the Bookshop.

Saturday 29th December: I'm still sore and sorry after yesterdays traumas but yesterdays Racing results were very good. At Port Lincoln there were seven selections for three winners including a $6 shot and our Winform Gold Selection won. Today looks like fun.

I have been using the Black Book services to get the selections for Trevor Johns book Racing My Perfect Investment. Once I get these it takes no time to scan the form for those that meet Trevor's criteria. The internet really does make life easy for punters.

Friday 28th December: Well our Single Selections are firing today. In fact about 17 units ahead since the beginning of December. I put my bets on and went for a sail and nearly drowned. My top mast snapped throwing me from the boat about one kilometre from shore. Luckily my lifejacket kept me afloat. The boat would normally just stop and I could have just swum over and drifted in with the hull but in the stiff North Easter the boat sped off at about ten knots.

My hat is yellow inside and I spotted a tinnie about 500 metres away and waved like mad. There were no other boats in sight. Before I spotted them I started thinking about the sharks that had been sighted in the area a day or two before. What are the odds? Thirty minutes later I'm on shore with a beer in my hand. I needed it.

Now not only was I saved by these fisherman who just happened to be out on the water for the first time in their new boat, but when I did get back in and check my bets I was about $1500 in front. That's more than enough to get a new mast and sail.

Thursday 27th December: In spite of many meetings yesterday there was not a lot of action for Winform. Powerplay found winners at all venues but no profits were made. December 2006 was a losing month and unless we get a lot of longshots between now and Sunday, this December will also lose. That means that we made money every month up until September, October was close to square but November lost.

I had a good winning double with our Best Bet and the Darwin Winform Gold. Sportsbet take bets on Darwin and even though they only pay UNITAB dividends, your money is not going in the TAB pool. At $2.50 it was a bargain in a four horse field. Our Members get a bonus $50 Free bet just for opening a Sportsbet account.

There's only one Powerplay venue today but it has always been successful for us.

Monday 24th December:
Good morning. Well Christmas Eve is here, and we 'The Winform Team' would like to take this opportunity to wish all of our Members and Visitors to Horse Racing Australia a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

For Boxing Day Ratings, click here (Orders MUST be in by 11:00 a.m. today)

The next entry for Professional Punters Diary will be on Thursday 27th December, 2007...

Saturday 22nd December: Our specials had a good result yesterday although our Winform Gold result was only a dead heat. Hope we have a good day today. I won't be having a Quaddie in Melbourne that's for sure. I'll probably update Monday with tomorrow being a family day for me. I'll get the ratings and selections up of course and I will probably sneak a five minute break to put any bets on.

Good luck for today. There is a jackpot First Four on Eagle Farm race 7 and it is our Feature race. It'll pay a motza if we get it up. Anyone who just wants selections for Boxing Day should order by 11:00 a.m. Monday as we will be closing the office at lunchtime.

Friday 21st December: A 100% strike rate helped us to a nice win yesterday but in spite of three winners at our Powerplay venue, none were longshots and we had a losing day. If you are wondering about Powerplay you click here and we'll send you some detailed information. We ever did say you can win everyday as much as we would like to. The "C" Plan had a good win on the IASBet (now SportsBet) nominated second chance race Kyneton race 6.

REMINDER: We are having a one day Seminar at our office in Wallsend on Thursday January 3rd from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and cost is just $295 refundable on purchase of Money Factory, Powerbet or a Ratings or Powerplay Subscription. click here to email your Booking or Phone: (02) 4950 1747.

The NSW Government is to conduct a review of race wagering in the New Year and all Racing participants including punters, are able to make submissions. We will advise further details when available.

There are only five race nmeetings on today but for some strange reason only the Tasmanian Tote is covering the Hobart meeting. It just doesn't make sense does it? But they are covering New Zealand. Trevor Johns is writing his review of New Zealand Racing in the Autumn Edition of the magazine for those of you who have nothing to do when you get out of bed.

Thursday 20th December: Powerplay landed a nice winner yesterday with a best price at IASBet (now SportsBet) of $31 fixed. Anyhow we knew the longshot would turn up eventually.

John from Queensland heads off to the US today to visit his son over the holidays but before he left he cleared his IASBet (now SportsBet) account. He checked again yesterday to make sure his withdrawal request had been processed but to his surprise there were still substantial funds left in his account.

Last weekend John was upset when Upgrade won at Ascot but was subsequently relegated to second after a successful protest. He forgot that IASBet (now SportsBet) pays out on both the new winner and the horse protested against. It is a unique and welcome promotion. IASBet (now SportsBet) account holders have to register to participate and details are on their website. Exisitng and new accountholders are eligible for this and other second chance bonuses and I have registered for this one as well. For details click here

There are also bonuses of a refund of your bet if you run 2nd in specified races. I register for them all as I run 2nd a lot!

Wednesday 19th December: Plenty of winners yesterday but not at the right time or at the right prices for Powerplay. We have had far fewer longshots than usual in the past few weeks and this is the reason. There has been no shortage of winners. Today there are two eligible venues.

I bet a number of winning selections yesterday and linked them up in doubles and trebles and in spite of geting five good winners I had no group of three and so I actually lost on those. It was frustrating to say the least. I can't wait to report that I have had a $20,000 payout and the way things are going I will need it but I know persistence pays off.

Today: 'Epona Miss' has come all the way from Mount Gambier to Sandown and won only the second of her fifty race starts two starts ago at Cheltenham. There's only one other horse from Mount Gambier at the Sandown meeting. No doubt this pair came down together. I can't back this 6yo mare with just one placing in four to her credit.

Tuesday 18th December: The Ratings are late getting posted today. Due to there being no daylight saving in Queensland the scratchings don't come through until late. We may have mentioned this before but we simply remind you again that the ratings will be posted by 10:00 a.m. not 9:30 a.m. whenever there are Queensland meetings.

Today we have two Powerplay meetings so hope for a couple of longshots. There were some good winners at Sale yesterday but that venue is not part of our Powerplay strategy. Can I remind you that we are having another One Day presentation at our office in Wallsend on Thursday January the 3rd, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Cost is $295 and it is refundable on the purchase of Powerplay, Powerbet or Money Factory.

It's good to see Cessnock back today as we always do well there. Canbet.com is offering a free $75 bet when you open an account and deposit and bet $50. You also become eligible for a rebate if you lose. click here to open yours today...

Monday 17th December: Sunday was a low strike rate for the Top Two with only 9 winners but what prices! I nailed a top rated selection for a place at $21 and I rarely bet for the place. Some winners were $19.90, $25 and $16 and a third rated horse won at the Sunshine Coast at $83.10.

Powerplay was successful and only the first two races were bet. Canberra got under our guard early as it wasn't on the list when we compiled that last Monday. Today there is one Powerplay meeting.

Trevor Johns found eleven selections on Saturday with his plans that require just a search of free information but there were three winners with the best at $6.30 so a losing day. Not like Friday when there was a $30+ winner.

Sunday 16th December: Our Members hurt the bookies yesterday with some excellent Grandslam winners at $7.00 and $8.00. Powerplay was successful too and the book: 'Best Australian Horse Racing Systems' found Ascot Race 7. 'Tarzi' at $28.60. There is a special price of just $99 on this book until the end of December, click here.

I blew all of my winnings as I had linked up evey selection in trebles and parlays but that's just the luck of the game. Had I chosen to sit in front of the sceen and had those parlays each way my result would have been far different. I have still made about $3,000 for the week. A successful double today might have netted me $20,000 or more so it is just a matter of being patient.

My daughter Natalie and son in law Shayne finally moved into their own house over the past couple of days and that is what slowed me down. I also had to do such simple things as mowing lawns as I will be in the office every day until Christmas. Tegan is movng into her new house this week and our new Trainee Journalist/ Designer 'Liz' starts in the New Year.

Saturday 15th December: We'll be using our Dead track ratings to place our bets on the Flemington Quaddie today even though the track is good. At Rosehill we expect a possible upgrade by mid to late afternoon with 29 degrees and no rain in sight.

I had a chat to Trevor Johns late yesterday and he had identified about 13 horses for his Plan One in the book which requires no more work than checking the trainers. In the end there was a winner at Moonee Valley last night at $15+ and two winners at Victoria Park $4.80 and $36.70 so overalll more than $400 profit for a $10 bet. That pays for Trevors book plus change. Those using Trevor's Day Trading Plan had a day off yesterday but there are four meetings today.

Have a good day.

Friday 14th December: Yesterday there was only one selection for Trevor Johns methods that we found and it was a loser. On Wednesday there was only one but it won and paid $4.40. Powerplay had a winner at Wagga but then failed to fire for the remaining races. Today there are seven race meetings and none of them meet the Powerplay criteria.

When Trevor Johns does analysis through his database he checks a minimu of 250 races at each venue he intends to bet for his Day Trading method. He also has a good look at Group races as a completely separate Racing issue compared to "normal" Racing. We have had nothing but goods feedback from readers of Trevor's book. The writing does not allow for an "bull...." and is simple and easy to read.

Tomorrow we have four meetings to work with for Powerplay which is about the most we ever get.

I had a losing day overall yetserday but remain over $3.000 in front for the week. The new Winform singles are definitely working better and our one Winform Special on Wednesday was a winner too. The bets I had yesterday all ran a place excpet for one and several paid btter than $2. A Parlay on the places yesterday would have produced a good result but you can't do everything.

Wednesday 12th: Powerplay had an even result yesterday and there are two meetings today that qualify. Last month was the first genuine losing month for Powerplay with a $1076 loss. Strike rate was O.K. but the average dividend was only about $7.23

Tuesday 11th December: A nice $17 winner at Queanbeyan yesterday. It was one of the new Single Selections which started last week. A long term Member approached me with an idea as he was frustrated by the Victorian idea of watering the tracks and upgrading after the first one or two races. Why couldn't we provide the adjustments you can see below?

For your info, we put up the ratings at least a day in advance and these have the points for wet tracks included in them as below. These ratings stay up until we get the scratchings when the usual “ratings” format takes over.

5:42 Alice Springs Race 5 09Dec07 1100m RB82   HCP $6000 Good

Just deduct or add to the Wnet as appropriate. Mud points is the last column. 'Kasparov' would be 61.8 +3 (64.8) if the track became wet but 'Raid and Rule' which has a Wnet of 55.7 would be 55.7 -3 or 52.7.

I'm having a day off today as I need parts for my Laser sailing boat. I have to drive 100 km's to get a $4.30 part. I could get it posted but I may see a few items I might want when I see them. That's the advantage of looking in the shop as opposed to looking on the Internet.

I guess the same applies to going to the races. Some people like to see the horses in the mounting yard and see the fluctuations on individual bookie boards. That is still something you can only experience by being there.

Sunday 9th December: A poor result yesterday with only 25% in the Top Two. Caulfield was a successful venue for Powerplay with the other three venues missing out although at Cheltenham there was an excellent $11 winner in race 6. One race past our limit although many would have traded on as a couple of races had just one or two selections. Ascot and Rosehill were not kind to us.

November had an average dividend of $7.89, a lttle worse than normal and that seems to be the trend at this time of the year.

On Friday there were two winners for Trevor Johns' strategies based on free information and anothet two yesterday. The winner at Moonee Valley friday night paid over $30 and at Toowoomba yesterday there was a $9 winner. Purchasers of his new book would have been very satisfied. Interestingly there was a nice winner from his 1986 book: 'The Coming Winners Guide'.

Saturday 8th December: Saturday again. A moderate strike rate yesterday but some nice prices in the top two including one at $16. Powerplay had a losing day with one successful meeting, one just square but unlucky when our $34 chance finished 2nd and a losing meeting at Coffs Harbour with successive seconds when we looked like winners. That one $34 horse would have turned us into winners for the week.

A blow to Sydney punters with Rosehill at least heavy today I should think and more rain predicted. Today we renew our Grand Slam selections with Perth. The races we used to use over there are no longer run so we have adjusted to cope with that. Racing is constantly changing.

Our Single Selections have done well this week with a nice $13 winner spicing things up. Wednesday next week we have one vacancy for our one day Powerplay Seminar at the office. Details call: (02) 49501747 or email us business hours. We are also doing one on the first week of January, Prue and Tegan have the date.

Friday 7th December: A Member attended the Betfair High Court challenge to the WA legislation. I am informed that up to 130 or more lawyers were involved and from the coments of some of the judges it seems likely that Betfair will prove their case. That will really open up the can of worms as WA were apparently trying to find ways of banning their residenst from betting with bookmakers from other states next.

Yesterday we made money early with Powerplay at Sapphire Coast but lost when we continued on with 2nd and 3rd in each subseauent race. Today we are already in front at Pakenham but are back for me. At Mudgee we missed with our longshot. The winner was in our selections but was too short a price.

Tomorrow Racing returns to Rosehill and of course today we are back at the Gold Coast.

Thursday 6th: We have received some results for November from Trevor John's New book: 'Racing: My Perfect Investment'. The results listed below are for the free sections of the book.

Plan 2 44 10 80.9 36.9 8.09
Both so far for december 29 8 44.5 15.5 5.60

This book is just $295 and can be ordered by visiting our online bookshop by clicking here, or calling 02 4950 1747.

Yesterday we had some great single winners, we have revised the systems and 3 of our 5 selections won at $13.50, $6.00 and $1.70. you can;'t complain about that, now lets just hope they keep up the good work.

Wednesday 5th December: There is one Powerplay meeting today. The first race is ineligible because of all first starters. From Saturday we will have additional Grandslam selections as we have now included more races from Perth. My analysis of the past two years shows that we have been missing out on good profits. In addition, the R3 and R4 races no longer exist but there appear to be more open events.

We have backed off Victorian Racing as far as specials and so on as we simply cannot get accurate track conditons. If the track is Dead is that because of weather or deliberate watering? We can work it out O.K. for the Metro tracks as we have contacts on the spot but the country and Provincial tracks present a problem even with us being able to track local weather via websites.

It appears we have frightened off plenty of potential purchasers of Trevor Johns new book: 'Racing My Perfect Investment'. I will repeat again that several of the plans included in the book require nothing more than overnight research on the Internet and much of the information can be logged into free blackbook sites. Certainly if you wish to pursue Trevor's Day Trading Plans you will need to spend money on further information, possibly software and other services (the profits will pay for this) but the basic plans will enable purchasers to quickly recover the cost of the book.

Tuesday 4th December: Our Winform Singles have been a notable failure this year for the first time for several years and we are curently reassessing our thinking on some of these. In fact in some races we will soon see more than one selection although this will be rare. Members using Money Factory should place two bets of the same amount on each. The necessary adjustment can be made after the race.

The one meeting today was not a Powerplay meeting but there is one tomorrow. Nevertheless Powerbet program users betting the Winform Top Two did make a nice profit today.

With no selections yesterday or today it makes pretty boring racing. All subscribers should have received their magazine in the mail well over a week ago, if you haven't please call the office on: (02) 4950 1747 and we will look into it for you.

On Wednesday 12th December, Garry Robinson will be holding a Powerplay Seminar in our new office in Wallsend New South Wales, places are limited to just four and one seat has already been taken. The seminar will be held during the day, starting at 10:00 a.m, cost is just $295, which is reimbursed if you purchase a Winform Product shortly after the seminar. To reserve your seat simply call: (02) 4950 1747 or email.
