I'm sure most readers have heard the infamous "Twelfth Man send ups of our cricketing commentators.
Now is your chance to hear our Racing Commentators sent up along with popular jockeys Darren and Shane and Jim and so on. Available on tape ($20) or compact disc ($30) this makes a change from the usual Racing product.
I'm sure that we all have our own opinions of the various Racing commentators and you will really enjoy "John Tapp" "Kenny Callendar", "Simon O'Donnell" "Wayne Wilson" and too many more to mention.
You will need to turn a blind eye, sorry ear, if you don't particularly appreciate foul language but the commentary at so many points is simply funny. I was very taken by the send up of Ian Craig's pre Epsom problems and the post Melbourne Cup interviews were fabulously funny.
The story itself is a mix of Phar Lap, Kingstown Town and other champions of the past and the mythical Monologue is raced against real horses like Danasinga Might and Power and many others listeners will instantly recognise.
The break up into six segments allows the listener to take a break in between fits of laughter and I can see this disc being a popular item at parities and backyard BBQ's.
