In this race two horse stand out. ‘Beaujolang’ which is paying $4.50 and ‘Akhameela’ which is paying $9+ Rated $2.20 and $3.00. Now let’s have a look at the form screen:

‘Beaujolang’ has had two starts at Strathalbyn for zero placings but look on the following at ‘Akhameela’.

‘Akhameela’ has three wins at this distance, has had three runs from a spell and four starts at Strathalbyn for a win and a place. Thirteen of his starts have been on wet tracks and he has not won a single one of them. On a hot day and a good track in good Ol’ Sa he bolts in by three lengths.
A lot of people have forgotten the old saying: “horses for courses” and at Strathalbyn that is definitely the thing to look for.
