In the last issue of Horse Racing Australia Magazine I gave details of a method backing the Top Three Winform Selections in specified races and tracks.
This time I have a method using a combination of Winform and Trakform with A.P.I. Ranking and Morning Line Rank from The Rating Bureau’s GTX Program. There are not a lot of bets over the period 01/01/2008 to 31/08/2009. Around 10 possible Bets a week. Once again it should be noted that by leaving out the Selections shorter that $3.50, profits will be increased.
To those who believe you can’t win backing Maiden races, have a look at the figures.

System Rules:
- No First Starters
- Include if Class: 1, 2, 3, 6, Flying, Maiden, Open, RO, R1, R2, RB 60 to RB 83
- Only bet at these Tracks: Albany, Albury, Ararat, Bairnsdale, Bathurst, Benalla, Canberra, Casterton, Caulfield, Cessnock, Colac, Cowra, Doomben, Eagle Farm, Gawler, Gilgandra, Gold Coast, Hanging Rock, Hawkesbury, Inverell, Kilmore, Moe, Moonee Valley, Mount Gambier, Murray Bridge, Murtoa, Muswellbrook, Narranderra, Northam, Nowra, Port Augusta, Queanbeyan, Randwick, Randwick (I), Sale, Sandown Hillside, Sapphire Coast, Seymour, Sunshine Coast, Swan Hill, Terang, Wagga, Warren, Wyong and Yarra Glen
- Age between 2 and 6
- Days since last run between 5 and 25
- At least 2 Starts but no more than 10 starts since a Spell
- TAB No. between 1 and 8
- Margin last run bet -3.5 to 5.5, which means won by up to 3.5 lengths, while lost by no more than 5.5
- Top Two Winform Rated
- Top Two Trakform Rated
- A.P.I. (Average Prize Index) no more than 7th
- Morning Line Rank no more than 9th
